On thursday 28th March 2019 we secured a debate on Permitted Development and Fracking in the main chamber of The Commons at  Westminster

There was real cross party consensus was secured against fracking and climate change.

Over 30 MPs made speeches or interventions including 10 Conservatives (full list at bottom), and a few more were there to listen. Everybody except the Minister, Kit Malthouse, spoke to oppose permitted development, and there were lots of good contributions on earthquakes too.

Best line: "I think what we are seeing is the emergence of a cross-party consensus that we have a problem with fracking in our country. If there was a traffic light system to be applied today to this House, it would be flashing red that there is no majority for permitted development NSIPs—nationally significant infrastructure projects—or probably even for pursuing fracking in general in this country." Lee Rowley MP for NE Derbeyshire.
