Find out more:

Green Party - will ban Fracking

SNP - Currently a moratorium on unconventional Oil and Gas exploration.

The Conservatives - will back fracking

An attack on local democracy.

The manifestos have been published and as expected Labour, Lib Dems and the Greens have committed to BAN fracking, The SNP currently have a moratorium in place. Plaid Cymru supported a moratorium in 2015 and all are committed to reducing fossil fuels and developing a greener future.

The Conservatives have committed to shale gas development.

“We will legislate to change planning law for shale applications. Non-fracking drilling will be treated as permitted development, expert planning functions will be established to support local councils, and when necessary, major shale planning decisions will be made the responsibility of the National Planning Regime.”

This is a Game changer! This statement alone should have alarm bells ringing for ALL representatives from every party who believe in local democracy. Residents will no longer be able to have a say on how major oil and gas developments are planned in their communities.

We call on ALL political representatives from ALL parties concerned about democratic rights to sign the frack free pledge. This is an attack on the rights of the people. We must have the right to say NO. Supporters please sign up today and we can build our network together stop our communities being rail roaded into accepting fracking. We can keep you all informed of developments associated with the fracking and future developments in the ever growing alternatives.
